Honestly, I want one setting that'll play what it should. ie if I'm listening to music I expect it to be stereo, if I have a movie on that's surround sound- I want it surround sound. I have 8K capable HDMI w/ ethernet cables rated for 48Gbps. When I do direct connect from the Apple TV to the TV, I can get Dolby Vision at 4K 60hz. When I run the Apple TV passthru through the receiver to the TV, the best video I can get is 4K SDR 60hz.You can easily change individual DB levels, manually change speaker distance and cross over frequency all throught the recivers interface. Audio also, with separation giving a fantastic sound-field - although I did have to raise the volume a little on my ceiling speakers.
